Rats had entered the customer's home through a hole left by a plumber. The pipe was the overflow from the bath so could not be removed or sealed.
I filled the hole with steel wool, concrete pieces, slate, stone and packed it in very tightly.

A strong mortar finished the job which was ready to be painted once dried. Stainless steel mesh was securely wedged in the pipe to prevent rodent access while allowing water to drain.
The rats inside the property were then successfully trapped and removed as they could no longer come and go as they pleased. Job finished.

A standard air brick can allow young mice and wasps to enter your wall cavity and from here they have access to your entire house.
Stainless steel 2mm mouse mesh fitted over the air brick now prevents rodent and wasp access into the wall cavity.

This was a plastic grill I noticed behind a shop in Ormskirk. I informed the shopkeeper who said it was kids that had kicked it in. They must have been wearing rats on their shoes.....look at the teeth marks.
